A strange sound was heard echoing in the woods east of Seminole during the night of Oct. 24. It was a strange echoing yodel-like call unlike a normal coyote, loon, or other call heard in the region.

Prints of a "big cat" are being reported once more around Shawnee; some report seeing a large black cat as well
